RN Labs Hydroxy B12 2000 mcg – 120 Capsules

High-strength vitamin B12 in the hydroxocobalamin form.

RN Labs Hydroxy B12 provides 2,000 mcg (2 mg) of hydroxocobalamin per capsule, offering a non-methylated form of vitamin B12 for those looking to support their B12 intake.

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient involved in energy metabolism, red blood cell formation, nervous system function, DNA synthesis and homocysteine metabolism. Hydroxocobalamin can be converted within the body into the biologically active B12 coenzymes methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.

Why we like Hydroxy B12 at Innate Biology

Hydroxocobalamin can be particularly useful when you want B12 supplementation without directly supplying a methylated form of B12. This makes it a useful option to consider for people who prefer or tolerate hydroxocobalamin better than methylcobalamin.

From a genetics perspective, genes involved in B12 absorption, transport and metabolism—including FUT2, TCN2, MTR and MTRR—can influence aspects of B12 physiology. However, genetic variants alone do not establish B12 deficiency or determine which B12 supplement someone needs; symptoms, diet and appropriate pathology should also be considered.

Key features: 2,000 mcg hydroxocobalamin per capsule; 120 capsules; supports healthy energy metabolism and nervous-system function; contributes to normal red blood cell formation and homocysteine metabolism; and provides a non-methylated B12 option.

Directions: Take 1 capsule daily with food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Innate Biology tip: More B12 isn't necessarily better. If you're investigating possible B12 deficiency, consider assessing relevant blood markers and the underlying reason for low B12 rather than relying on symptoms or genetics alone.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a medical condition, seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
